THE LOGIE AWARDS
The “Logie Awards” were the first awards for achievements
in television ever given in Australia. The first Logie Awards
were presented in 1959 and they have always remained the industries
top awards. They consist of viewer as well as peer-voted awards.
It is televisions Night of Nights.
The Logie Awards are named after Scottish inventor John Logie
Baird,
a pioneer in the development of television and the first man
to demonstrate television successfully.
Paul’s production company, STARCAST PRODUCTIONS, based
in Queensland was at the forefront of production in the 70’s
and 80’s and is justly proud of its achievements in bringing
home a large number of “LOGIES”
